Dems Need to Stand Up — Gloves OFF!
It has been said that the loss of freedom doesn’t happen all at once, but instead, one freedom at a time until you wake up and realize that there aren’t any options and choices left to the people of a country. The Republicans have been playing a long game of this, relying on the fact that Democrats are much more easy going and not as loud and violent as the conservatives. We are now at the precipice of the abyss — looking over the chasm of darkness that is their plan for what might have been the democratic experiment. It’s well past time to stand up and object and it appears it’s up to us to do it.
Americans, especially liberals, have become quite complacent, assuming that there will be “someone else” that will magically fly in and save the day. We had looked to Mueller as a start, only to be let down when he and the report turned over final decisions to others. And yes, I know that there was nothing that Mueller and his team could actually “do” to punish those that had broken the law, but the report was a “whimper” of what was expected. While Dems DO have the Senate, not enough came out to vote for House Representatives and we see the hot mess that the extreme right wingers have become.
